The name of this Cuban group says it all: SINTESIS!

 

Among the most avant-garde musical sonorities of the island it is without doubt SINTESIS  that sets up its own expressive path, in which the contemporary takes from the traditional and the classical, to create the mixture of rhythm, sound and flavor that characterizes most of the Cuban musical productions.

Ethno-fusion mixed with elements of Afro-Cuban roots defines the style of this group.

Headed by Carlos Alfonso, the group SINTESIS, had arisen almost  for two decades, is one of  the Cuban contemporary music's emblems and, according to numerous specialists , SINTESIS constitute the best band in rock-fusion of the Cuban island .

Nominated Latin Grammy, in their  artistic  itinerary  SINTESIS has defined a particular stamp where conjugate the African  roots impregnated in the insular sound with currents of the rock and the jazz. creating this way an unique style inside the popular Cuban music with which woke up the critic's attention and the public.

SINTESIS is among the most famous and popular groups in the present Cuban musical stage and has contributed to a better understanding of the Afro-Cuban musical heritage for the new generations from a contemporary point of view.

SINTESIS has taken its music to: Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, England, Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy, Denmark, The Netherlands, Portugal, Mèxico, Venezuela, Argentina, Costa Rica,  Panamá Brazil, Puerto Rico , Canadá , United States.

SINTESIS has worked with many notable artists, poets and bands including: Chucho Valdés , Irakere  Jimmy Earl, Gonzalo Rubalcava, Miguel Angá, Montell Jordan, Tata Guines, Winston  Marsalis Pablo Milanés, Mi’shell Nge O’Cello, Stuart Copeland,   Asia Dub Fondation, Ray Lema, Los Van Van, Rick Wakeman, among others.
